First Two Weeks in July

We went back to Hancock over the 4th of July Weekend.  Here we are after going to dinner with Cody's dad.  We had to go behind the restaurant because of how beautiful it looked.

Here is Cody's dad with his two boys.  This is such a great picture!  Love it!

After dinner we went to East Branch, which is the 4th of July festival in the next city over.  Cody likes to go there to drink beer with his friends.

Here is one of Cody's best friend, Tony, and his girl friend Erica.  It's too bad that they live so far away because we all get along great.  Erica is fun to talk to while the boys are off doing whatever they do...

Tony and Cody's brother, Chance, at East Branch.

Cody's other good friend, Brandon, with Chance.

They have cheap pitchers of beer at the festival and the gang kept a couple filled up at all times.

Here are the guys talking.  They had a good time talking about the good old days.

The "Drink Filler"...  there he goes filling up Tony's cup.  Two years ago, they drank so much and Cody kept making sure everyone's cup was always full.

Tony's mom and Cody's dad were telling us all kinds of stories about them growing up.  Apparently, Chance only ate chicken nuggets growing up haha.

The next day, we went over to Cody's sister's house for Kelsie's birthday party.  Here she is opening up some of her presents.

Awww aren't they so cute??  Love this picture too.

Kelsie is so patient with her little brother.  He wanted to open up her biggest present so bad.

Here he is... dying to open it.

So Poppy called him over...

He sat with him for about a minute then he was back over by the present.

Slowly opening it... at first just a little rip at the top...

Then just a little rip at the bottom...

There he goes!  It was all unwrapped.  Kelsie handled it really nicely though.  She didn't even yell or get too upset with him.  If it had been me at that age I wouldn't have been happy about it!

Here is everyone at the party watching Kelsie open her presents.

More of the gang.

Cody and his mom.

Chance's girlfriend, Amber, and me.

Here is Kelsie opening up her favorite gift of the day... an ipod touch.  Krista tricked her into thinking she wasn't going to get one for her birthday.

Look at the shocked face!

She was so excited about it!

Happy Kelsie!  After she got it all she wanted to do was play on it.  I'm ashamed to say that she probably knows how to do more things on it than I do. She was texting everyone she knew... I didn't even know you could do that on an ipod touch...

Her "Tangled" birthday cake.  I have recently been looking through all of my old pictures... they were either on my birthday with me holding my cake, or they were at Christmas.  My mom was really good at taking pictures during those times, so it must be engrained in me to take a picture of/with the birthday cake.

Krista trying to light the candles... it was a little too windy to get them all lighted together, because they kept blowing out.

Here she is blowing out the candles that made it.

Here he goes trying to get some of the frosting.

At first all the kids were trying to stop him...

But after a couple of tries, Kelsie said "Ahhh oh well... go ahead"

He was happy as a clam.

Krista serving the cake.

Cody enjoying some.

Aunt Vicky eating one of the cupcakes instead of the cake.

Amber loved this picture... haha.

I love how he looks in this picture!  My skinny Bebesee

The two couples.

Here we are with Cody's grandma

Then we got one with the grand kids...

Then we got one with mom in it...

Then we got one with dad in it...

Then we got one of the girls...

There they go dancing and lifting their legs.

Here is Kelsie with her ipod.  She was so happy!!  All the kids were jealous of how cute her case is.

Uncle Coco and Aunt Melanie with the birthday girl.

When we left New York, Cody's mom followed us back home.  Her sister is in town from Florida.  Here she is in our basement on my elliptical.

The three sisters loving our couch downstairs!!

So comfy... they each had a foot rest.  This was the first time Cody's aunts saw our house fully furnished.  They were planning on going to a concert that night, but after having dinner at our house they decided to stay a while.

Cody looks thrilled in this picture...  But there he is with his mom and aunts in one of our spare bedrooms after the tour of the house.  Mark my words... he'll be happy to have these pictures some day.  He was the third child so he doesn't have too many of him growing up.  He should be happy that I like to take pictures of him now...

The next day we had Cody's Uncle John, mom, and Aunt Mary over to see the house.  They had been here before we were all the way moved in and settled.

Here is Uncle John relaxing in our chair.

Love this picture of them!  Aunt Mary had her ipad out and she was showing me old pictures that she had taken with her ipad.  This inspired me to take pictures of some of my old photos and make them digital.  I'll post a blog about that later...

Here we are with Cody's mom on the couch.

Love Aunt Mary!  She's my favorite... I hope that when I'm 85, I'm just like her.

Loved the first two exciting weeks in July with Cody's family.  Next week is dad's Xmas in July party so we'll be hanging out and spending time with my family.  :)
