Easter 2022

We had such a fun Easter this year with Kayla!  She was SO much fun!

Here we are getting our window clings onto the door and windows.

Kayla did a good job of putting them on by herself.

The traditional Easter tree.  Love that she's getting involved with it.

Again, the traditional Easter village.  I used to love putting this up when I was a kid. I'm noticing that our Easter Village is awful cheap looking though.  I'd like to eventually pick out a new set with Kayla that is a bit nicer.

We went to an Easter Party at Michaud's Bunny Hope Family Easter Party.  Kayla wanted to meet the Easter bunny right away.  At first she was a little hesitant but quickly got over it.

Here's my little goof eating her cupcake.

Yum yum!

Here we are doing the locomotion with all the other kids.

Craft time!

Here's a couple of Kayla's crafts.

Here she is doing the little Easter egg hunt that they had set up.

The girl working the station must have thought that Kayla was cute, because after Kayla had picked out her eggs she told me to pick out this other one near her.  And this egg had a golden ticket in it, where you could pick out a prize on the table.  They only had 4 prizes left on the table, and Kayla got to pick out her bunny.

Daddy and Papa had more fun coloring her crown then she did!

Pretty picture with Papa.

Kayla saw the other kids dancing with the Easter bunny and she was patiently waiting her turn.

After the Easter Bunny was done dancing with one kid, he started to walk around, and Kayla had a "Oh no" look and ran up to him.  She was so short that he didn't see her so she tapped him on the leg.  Once he noticed her they danced together!

My brave girl, dancing with the Easter Bunny.

Twirl!

At the end of the night, dad was sitting in the chairs and he clapped to Kayla and she went running for him...  At the last second she swerved and went to Cody!  Dad was like... AH!  She scrapped me.

Our next Easter activity was coloring eggs and baking Easter cookies with Aunt Becky and Abby!

The girls had a blast coloring their eggs.  And they liked pressing down on the Easter shapes to make the cookies.

Silly girls sitting in the kitty beds!

Easter morning, Kayla was too cool!  She was SO excited for her Easter egg hunt.  She sprung into action and went looking for her eggs.  She kept pausing, and got a pondering look on her face and would go "Hrmmmm" and look around for the eggs.  She was so excited when she found them.

Here she is with daddy!

It was hard to convince her to wait to open her eggs all at once.  She had 5-6 eggs hidden in every room on the main floor for a total of 30 eggs.  She had some candy, stamps, and little water table toys in her eggs.  The stamps were a HIT!  Every time she got one, she stamped both of her hands and then both of mommy, and daddy's hands too.

Look at all those eggs!

Video of Kayla on the hunt!

We had just gotten back from Myrtle Beach the day before Easter, so we didn't want to host at our house this year... so dad graciously accepted to host himself.  We went to his house and saw dad, mom, Aunt Karen, Uncle Gary, and Aunt Dar.  Mom and Kayla were off with each other all day.  Mom had eggs and a little basket for her that Kayla was excited about.

More Kayla and Papa.

She was the entertainment of the day.  Just her silly little self could keep all us adults entertained all day.

Picture with Aunt Dar.  Aunt Dar brought Kayla so orange cheese puffs (that Kayla absolutely HAD to have) so we ate the cheese puffs VERY carefully!!

Picture with Aunt Karen.  Aunt Karen brought Kayla a little Easter basket full of goodies that Kayla got into.

Overall, we had one of our best Easters!  It was so much fun with a two year old!  She loved her Easter party, coloring eggs, and then was a ton of fun on Easter morning.
