Year 23 in Review

Years ago I heard a song by Kellie Pickler called "The Best Days of Your Life" and there is a line in the song that says "And it's just too bad that you've already had the best years of your life."  To me this always felt like a challenge.  I'm not ready for the best years of my life to be over yet, and I keep striving to make sure that each year of my life can rival the years before it.

So... let's go through the highlights and see how I did while I was 23...

I went to Vegas!  ...for the second time....  but the first time with Cody.  This was our first large trip together and I think it set the ground work for us traveling together in the future.

I went on my first cruise!  I've always wanted to go on a cruise but I never had the opportunity.  I think this really highlighted how well Cody and I travel with each other.  We had a blast and I can't wait until we have a chance to go on another one!

I graduated college!  This was a huge milestone in my life.  I felt very accomplished and very happy to be a college graduate.

I moved in with Cody!  We have our little three room bungalow that we are renting, and for the most part we've been pretty happy here.  I really hated living alone in BG.  It was very lonely and I didn't like it at all.  I love living with Cody.  It's so nice to have someone to share the night with and to snuggle with and chat to before I go to sleep.  I think that we get along really well and we do good with living together.

I went to China!  This was such a wonderful experience.  I'm so glad that dad and I were able to experience such a different place.  I think this was the perfect time in my life to go to China, and I will always cherish the experience.

I started my career at Swagelok!  Another big milestone in my life that I started...  I really believe that Swagelok is going to be a wonderful place to grow and develop.  I'm so grateful that I was able to get this wonderful opportunity.  I envision being there for a very long time.

So overall... I guess not too shabby of a year.  I can't wait to see what 24 brings!!  If all goes according to plan I'll be posting another blog pretty soon!
