We had a fantastic fall this year! Here are some of the things that we did.
We were Cedar Point girls! Cedar Point does a wonderful job with Halloweekends for kiddos and we always have a fun time there.
We went with Sarah's family first.
The girls enjoyed trick or treating, which is really a nice touch.
Picking out pumpkins!
They both got and decorated their little pumkpin.
The girls LOVED the eye spy game and were super into finding all of the items on the list. They were so happy to do it. Sarah was really into it.
Sally and Charlie Brown.
We got to watch the Snoopy show the Monster's are Coming Charlie Brown.
They have so many fun photo ops.
Here's my girl! Even after a long day she wanted to pose for pictures!
That's my girl!
The next weekend we were back with Maia and TT. Kayla was finally tall enough to go on motor cycle ride that she had been too short to go on before. However, now it had lost some of it's excitement and she wasn't too pumped for it. She's moved on to bigger rides now.
The girls went trick or treating of course.
Picture!
They got their pumpkins too.
Sam was also with us this trip. It was a fun girls day.
This is one of my favorite pictures of them.
They were so happy and proud that they went through the corn maze on their own.
We played the eye spy game again, but Kayla remembered where most of them were, and then she had a HUGE tantrum when Maia found a couple. She had a couple melt down over it, and I told her that I wasn't going to let her play it anymore. She is almost toxically competitive. I'm not sure exactly where she gets it from, but boy is she competitive and gets angry when other people do well at things.
Towards the end of the day, we played games and won a bunch of prizes.
The girls loved watching this Ogre talk.
They also loved these singing pumpkins.
Group shot!
More posing at the end of the night!!
My girl!!
We went to Hillcrest Apple Orchard with Papa, Maia, and TT. Love this picture of dad and Kayla.
Traditional picture on Papa's shoulders.
Playing in the straw and corn pit.
Yummy apples!!
Picking apples. I love Hillcrest because they have these vines instead of just trees... so the girls are able to pick apples theirselves.
On Papa's shoulders to get a tall one.
Eating her apple.
Best friends!
Maia was carrying her around haha.
Happy girls!
Showing off their apples.
Papa picking apples.
Such a big bag!
Here we are with our apples before we dropped some down haha.
Such sweeties!
Seeing how tall she is!
Had to get Maia in on this action too.
Riding on the wagon ride.
Papa pushing them on the swing.
Almost a full group shot.
Eating the yummy apple and cinnamon donuts.
We went to the Broadview Heights town Fall fest with mom. We went on a wagon ride and I lost my balance and landed on some guy and couldn't get back up... I was like a turtle. Mom and I were cracking up. She grabbed me and pulled me back up.
Kayla got to pick out a pretty decent size pumpkin.
Mommy and Kayla.
My pretty girl!
Kayla and Gigi.
When we went to decorate Kayla's pumpkin we ran into her friend, Ana! Kayla was excited to see her.
Picture with Ana and her mom.
Picture of the 3 of us.
They had a fun bounce house area that Kayla loved. She was all about running through them and bouncing.
Getting out.
Back in the obstacle course.
She also loved the slide bounce house too.
The day we went to Ramseyer Farms with Sarah.
We love Ramseyer Farms. There is just SO much to do there.
Corn slides! The girls loved these, and as we were there they ran into another little girl from their class, Audry, and we hung out with her and her family for the day too.
Feeding the goats. Kayla wasn't 100% into it and didn't want to directly feed them.
Looking into the goat house.
Giving the bunnies some food.
The girls had a great time on the big hill slides and playing in the tunnels on the hill. They were running around and hooting and hollering forever in there!
Then it was time for a hayride. They have a such a nice hay ride here with a lot to look at.
All the girls!
Smile!
Photo op! Kayla was upset because she was too short for it.
They were all so excited to get apple juice in this cup little pumpkin cup.
Duck races! Which are Kayla's favorite.
The gigantic corn barn is another favorite!
The girls were playing in here for quite a while too.
Kayla getting buried in the corn.
Next we went into one of the large cornmazes and the girls were "leading the way"/Audry's dad was actually really good at navigating it... which is good because I'm awful at it. It causes me stress being in large corn mazes because I feel like I'm not going to be able to get out. I don't like feeling lost. But the girls did have fun running around and playing.
Tire play area. The girls loved me pushing them.
Covered wagon ride.
In a tractor! They loved Ramseyer and had a great time. We meant to go later in the year with Maia too, but it didn't end up happening.
The next weekend was yucky weather so we didn't get to go to Cedar Point with Abby like we had planned, but we had her come over for a fall fun day! We decorated pumpkins, ate candied apples, and did some crafts.
The girls with their finished products. Kayla was really into making sure that every bit of her pumpkin got painted.
Decorating Halloween shaped cookies.
Luckily the rain cleared up for Trick or Treat Fest at the zoo the next day with Sarah's family.
Family photo on the carousel.
In the wolf area. That seems to be Kayla's favorite spot.
Getting ready to start the trick or treat trail.
Getting candy!
They wanted this picture haha.
They saw quite a few characters. This is the live action Little Mermaid.
Sarah's family.
Our family!
Love this picture of us.
Getting ready for the train and sharing snacks.
Here we all are on the train.
Sarah's family on the carousel.
We peeked into the giraffe area after watching the 4D scooby doo show. Kayla is not a fan of 4D shows.
Giraffes.
Outside of the wolf area.
They were excited to see the tiger walking by.
The next week we had a play date at Sarah's house. It was the first time that we had been over there, and Sarah's first time having a friend over.
We were going to go to Mapleside Farms with our neighbors the next Saturday, but we got rained out. So we decided to go to the mall play area. They re-did it and it was really nice now!
Kayla and Savannah jumping.
Jumping!
Fire fighter Kayla.
Playing games with Grayson and Paxton.
We signed Kayla up for basketball this year, and she absolutely hated it.
She never wanted to go in the game, and was afraid that the ball as going to hit her on the head. She was also upset that she wasn't able to get the ball all the way up to make a basket. She also got offended/angry if another kid got the loose ball and she didn't (Miss competitive). If she would go into the game at all she would run up and down the side line.
She made a little friend that she would hold hands with and run up and down the court with.
It got to the point where she wouldn't even participate in the practice in the beginning and was just an all around awful experience. Here she is on the total opposite area of everyone.
Her favorite spot laying on the sidelines. It was such a hassle that we ended up just stopping to go. Our team was awful and I don't think we even had kids to field a team towards the end. There was another little girl named Vera that didn't like to play either but would go in and run up and down the court holding Kayla's hand. Basketball was not a good experience for us, and I won't be signing her up any time soon. I actually ended up not signing up for soccer either due to this experience. I figured we'd wait and see if she has an interest. She got a soccer goal and ball for Christmas, so we'll see if I can get her interested.
Luckily, the weather cleared up the next day for us to be able to go to Cedar Point with Sarah (funny how that seems to be a pattern).
Flying in the helicopter.
Digging up skeletons! Kayla and Maia fought over these skeletons the week before and both wanted the blue skeleton. Luckily Sarah was very chill and not worried about the color she got.
They were both happy with what they were able to get and had a good day riding rides together.
The next weekend was our last trip to Cedar Point for the season with Maia and CJ. So glad that we girls were able to go and see each other so much this year. Cedar Point is about the half way point for all of us, so it was nice to go there and get to hang out. At least the kids get to see each other a little bit.
It was threatening rain the entire day, so we were hustling trying to get in as much as possible before the rain.
They actually got on quite a bit!
We got to go on everything we wanted to except the coasters.
We even got to play some games at the end. We loved Cedar Point this year and had such a good time there with our friends. I'm hoping next year we can also add a cousin day in with Abby and Shawn's girls.
We got to go to the Halloween Event at the IX Center with Kayla's friend Ana and Sarah. Deb and my mom also came with us.
The girls trick or treating.
Trick or treating.
They had so many cute rides for kiddos here.
At the beginning they really didn't have long waits which was nice.
Belle came and did a story time with the kids, and the girls really enjoyed it.
Up on stage singing with Belle.
Let it go!

Friend picture! We had a great time in New York getting to see some people that we hadn't seen in a long time. This was actually Tony and Erica's first time getting to meet Kayla.
Happy Halloween! Kayla decided to be Cinderella this year.
I was really proud of how well her jacket matched her outfit and went right with it.
Happy girl excited to go trick or treating.
Family photo!
More family pics!
Kayla wanted a picture on her swing set.
Papa came to help pass out candy while we were out trick or treating.
Brenda came with him too.
We went trick or treating with Grayson, Savannah, and Paxton.
The kids were running and excited to get candy. Kayla was leading the pack at every house. She was very into going to houses.

Picking out their candy together. The big kids stayed together and the little kids tried to keep up.
Buddies!
Running up to the houses.
Grayson and Kayla.
Her haul from the night. Funny enough, we hardly ate any of it. I was giving her a piece a day basically for a while.
We closed out our fall with Abby's birthday party. This was the first party that we had been able to make due to Covid and vacations. So it was exciting to be there.
Making cake pops.

Kids opening up presents. We had such a great fall full of friends, family, and activities. We were busy pretty much every weekend all fall. I really enjoyed getting to take Kayla around to a variety of activities with different people. I hope that every fall can be so fun.
